The disciples who witnessed the transfiguration of Christ were told by God to hear Jesus. They were to listen and obey Christ. But the response of the three, especially Peter shows they really didn’t hear what was being said. And often we don’t hear what God is saying to us.
Resurrected to Rescue the Rejected
The resurrection of Jesus guarantees the availability of God’s kingdom to all would otherwise be rejected. Jesus came to open the kingdom to all and especially to the outcast and religiously condemned.
